Pleasant morning in a little leafy square in Reims sipping cafe’s and watching passers by, a leisurely walk-around town back past the cathedral then off to the railway station. Di nudged me awake in Paris an hour or so later.
Overlaiden as we were with additional supplies for the boat (predominately beverages of the medicinal variety), we cabbed it from the station and, in one of those ridiculously unlikely travel moments, arrived at the door of our bnb in Rue Honore at exactly the same moment as Stewart and Judy flying in from Australia. Paul and Jonquil arrived from Interlaken half an hour later.
After a brief sample of said supplies, Charles Mignon Champagne, dried pork fillet and cheese, we wandered along the Seine amidst the many sitting on her banks, picnicing and enjoying the long evening.

As dusk fell we headed for the Tuileries and finally back along the Seine to the Ile de Cite and home (after a brief bowl of Soupe de l’oignon at a street cafe).
I think tomorrow we’re heading for the Musee D’orsay, then Tuesday is the Paris equivalent of Armistice day – a massive party across the whole city. Woo-hoo.
