After much wrangling, credit-card-bonus-point-spreadsheet summing and telephone conversations with extension 1-3-2-4-1-2-1 at Qantas (to be fair they were extremely helpful), we figured we were better getting what we could, with what we had in the present and leaving the extended “travel hacking” for future adventures.
