Yep, 21km to go. Although we take that with a grain of salt. One day we crested a hill at a 44.000km marker and at the bottom of the hill pulled up at 44.150. We’d gone backwards!

We left in the dark this morning, for-warned of the rising heat. After grabbing coffees at a café where one frantic woman single handedly served up coffee and churros to a dozen workmen and numerous pilgrims, we decended down the hill into the morning mists.

The many forested sections provided cool for long after the day had started to warm and the copious villages and bars allowed rest stops whenever required.

A bagpipe player in a forest somewhere provided musical relief and our easy pace got us into the tent camp at A Zua early afternoon. The facilities are great but the power is via generator and the surges have blown up our phone charger. So I’ll cut it short so theres some herbs for tomorrow…Last day, into Santiago…
